ETH Zurich will re-launch its web on 29 October. This also means that ETH Life will become ETH News. What will change besides the new name? Roman Klingler, Head News & Media Relations, explains.

20.09.13 Lino Guzzella appointed President of ETH Zurich
The Swiss Federal Council has appointed Lino Guzzella, ETH Rector and Professor of Thermotronics, as the future ETH President. He will be taking over from Ralph Eichler who is retiring at the end of 2014. By taking this decision, the Swiss Government has endorsed the unanimous proposal made by the ETH Board.

Researchers at ETH Zurich have developed an internal combustion engine that emits less than half the CO2 compared to a regular engine without compromising performance. This corresponds to fuel consumption of less than 2.4 l per 100 km.
